Data Engineer ideally with some Project Management experience to work a few days a week on site in Brussels and the rest of the time remotely.

Mission & tasks to execute

Mission context :

As data engineer you are at the center of the Information Management process and play a key role in the lifecycle management of the corporate data assets.
You are responsible for understanding business needs & rules in terms of reporting and analytics and for translating these needs into comprehensive data definitions, data models and data quality requirements.
In your day-to-day job, you rely on a thorough understanding of the business processes and its underlying data in order to translate raw data into actionable information and insights.
The Data Engineer will be responsible for managing projects focused on leveraging data to drive business impact, as well as fostering effective cross-departmental collaboration to ensure smooth delivery.
Main Tasks to execute :
Be a bridge between business and the IT departments
Master data ingestion techniques and structure the data into comprehensive models (logical data models)
Responsible for producing/reviewing architecture for data projects and high level / low level solution
Ensure data consistency for a specific subject area (Customer Base Management, Revenue & Dunning, Usage, Logistics, Order Management, Customer Interaction Management)
Build and maintain in depth knowledge of the data and its availability and use in a business context
Are responsible for contributing to the selection of fit to purpose tools supporting reporting and analytics capabilities
Are responsible for producing or reviewing key project deliverables related to reporting and analytics domains (SRS/HLD)
Drive projects through to OBE governance to ensure its delivery on time/budget

Experience: 5/10 years

Knowledge: ETL (AbInitio), DWH, Big Data (Hadoop/Spark), Cloud technology knowledge (GCP)

Skills: Data Architecture, Data Analytics, Data Modeling, Data Analysis, Project Management
